Non-fiction narrative writing

INTRODUCTION Non-fiction narrative writing is a way to convey a story or event in order to explain or prove a point. For this task, you will need to reflect on how personal experiences have shaped your literacy development. Literacy refers to reading and writing for the purpose of acquiring knowledge. You will write a narrative essay that draws on your personal experiences in order to illustrate an idea. You do not have to complete any research on the topic. Your evidence or support will be in the form of personal experiences, reflections, details, and examples relevant to the idea that you present. TOPIC • Describe an important moment or event in your literacy development. Explain the significance of this event. REQUIREMENTS Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. An originality report is provided when you submit your task that can be used as a guide. Note: When using sources to support ideas and elements in an assessment, the submission MUST include APA formatted in-text citations with a corresponding reference list for any direct quotes or paraphrasing. It is not necessary to list sources that were consulted if they have not been quoted or paraphrased in the text of the assessment. A. Write a narrative essay (suggested length of 750–1,000 words). Use narration and description to provide detailed information about the topic. 5. Explain the significance of the narrative details. 6. Provide an effective conclusion. B.
