Ultimately, you will engage in a critical reflection on the release, reintegration, and re-entry of offenders (remember, critical thinking involves objectively discussing a topic – and including different perspectives). Your reflection should be 350-500 words in length. Your reflections should involve material from the week (and remember, when you are referencing material from lecture, supplementary material, or the textbook, you should have in-text references – APA 7th edition formatting). If you are inputting your opinion, it should be backed by evidence (references from course work). You do not need a thesis statement, but your reflection should include well developed paragraphs that flow together. As those who are being released or reintegrated have been through the system, there is opportunity for integration of material from previous weeks to discuss release, reintegration, and re-entry. You can integrate material related to policing, the courts, or corrections to discuss release, reintegration and re-entry where appropriate. It should have evidence of critical and thoughtful thinking and incorporate terminology we discuss in this class.
