Western art music critique

The video/audio performance must program Western Art music (not jazz, musical, theater or popular music) that dates from 1400-present. Performances about which you may write include symphonies, choral works, early music ensemble performances, contemporary music, etc. Objectives: The student is expected to listen and respond critically to music and to articulate an informed, personal reaction in a coherent and engaging manner. You must demonstrate an awareness of the subject matter. You must also include a discussion that informs the reader of the historical and social context in which the music originally fit and how it is relevant now.
